Man/Woman/Chainsaw // King Tut’s // 25.09.26

Man/Woman/Chainsaw brought plenty of energy to a sold-out King Tut’s on Friday 25th September, with a cheery, enthusiastic stage presence that kept the room moving. There was clearly a strong buzz around the band, and they made the most of the busy crowd with a lively, upbeat performance.

However, the set could have benefited from more variation and interaction. The set-list often felt quite one-note, with a similar intensity running throughout, and there was relatively little rapport between the South London band and the audience. While the energy was consistently high, a greater sense of dynamics and crowd engagement could have made the performance feel more memorable.

Man/Woman/Chainsaw have the potential to be the next great band, with a genuinely unique, genre-bending sound; if they can find a way to make each show feel more grounded in its own time and place.
